I try to understand how things got to be the way they are and what makes humans happy. I hold a Masters degree in Theology though I am a Secular Humanist with a continuing interest in theology, Jesus and Early Christianity, and the relationship between culture and religion in society and the secular world in general. Another question: How does Myers-Briggs Personality Type and a balanced emotional and mental psyche fit into all of this? Given my early life till age forty in the horse and buggy Mennonite community, at which point I broke with tradition and returned to school, transitioning to mainstream society, I am aware of cultural nuances realized mostly only by cultural anthropologists and others who went through the same cultural transition. For me, the transition included moving from pre-fundamentalist religion to atheism, the greatest step of which was from the horse and buggy Mennonite church to a fundamentalist Mennonite Church.
