This works if that one-sentence explanation is enough to get you past the hurdle -- "ok, I'm going to have to write something called a callback; I'll get to that later. Meanwhile, to set up this subscription in the first place I need to (blah blah blah)."
Jan 19, 2012 at 7:02 comment added Kris I'm fine with (...See Section X.) so long as it is before the current section, which is the real issue in the OP. Forward references always upset me, and if they are a bit too frequent, you can as well imagine the reader's frustration at the discontinuity and non-linearity.
