Mar 21, 2017 at 21:22 comment added raddevus @DanielCann That makes sense and if you notice you are beginning to describe some things that can be learned (Style & voice, language structure). If we define those in a more detailed way then they can offer guidance to new writers. Style & Voice for example could be write direct sentences that vary in length which relates to how sentences "sound" in the reader's head. That's a point of guidance that can get early writers to better writing possibly faster.

Mar 20, 2017 at 15:04 comment added Lew I am with @DanielCann you can try to read/listen to whatever is there on the subject, and there are hundreds of books/podcasts filled with more or less valuable insight (many are free), but first and foremost–do not forget to write, while doing that. And if someone claims to teach you how to write a bestseller in two weeks, beware.
